Title:
“New Look at Old West Through Eyes of Prince”
Description:
A newspaper article on the upcoming publications of journals of Prince Alexander Phillip Maximillian of Wied-Neuwied, a naturalist who ventured up the Ohio and Missouri river valleys. The person who owned this newspaper article underlined specific lines relating to mentions of Swiss artist Karl Bodmer, who was one of the prince’s traveling companions.
Note: This article was compiled by a librarian after the collection was transferred to the Eugene S. Farley Library in 1959 after McClintock's passing. It was most likely collected as the Art and Prints series contains many of Bodmer's works.
