This booklet has various butterfly drawings from American Lepidoptera: Volume 1: Diurnal Lepidoptera. Part I: Papilones by Herman Strecker. Herman Strecker was born in Pennsylvania in 1836. He was an American entomologist specializing in butterflies and moths. The estimated date range for the manuscript has been ascertained as having been created prior to 1872 when the first work, Lepidoptera, Rhopaloceres and Heteroceras, Indigenous and Exotic; with Descriptions and Colored Illustrations, was published.
