Description:
The following item depicts a printed letter by Thomas & Pierson Company to Gilbert Stuart McClintock, dated March 1, 1927. In the letter, Thomas & Pierson are explaining the ongoing history of a damage claim McClintock took on a damaged art piece he received through H. K. Fowler, Lloyd’s Agents. The claim includes the original cost of restoration, which was $57.75 and the survey fee in assessing the new costs, which were $67.90. In the survey of the piece’s cost, the company states that it is worth $1,500. They conclude the letter by stating they will send the check allowable to McClintock through the insurance when approved.
