Description:

The following item depicts two photographs capturing the left hand side view of the yard outside the McClintock family home. The house is a two story white clapboard home with stucco accents and three chimneys displayed along the two buildings. The structure sits in the central, background position of the frame. There are three trees located on each side of the home, comprising the left and right hand positions of the frame. An expansive yard comprises the foreground of the frame, leading to the house in the background. The photograph is in black and white. The other photographs in the collection, items (1.63-1.72), have been attributed the “House of Wendy Hams, Bear Lake,” from its connection to this photograph where the accompanying note makes that distinction. Gilbert Stuart McClintock is supposed to be the creator of the photograph as he has other photographs that he sold in auctions within the collection, item (1.60) “A Photograph of the “[Basilica] Santa Maria della Salute,” taken by Gilbert Stuart McClintock, [ca. Mid-twentieth century]. (removed to Oversized Box #1)”, as well as another photo album of their house, item (1.59), which collects frames of the house in a similar documentary style.
