Description:

The following order, dated May 7, 1788, is written by Zebulon Butler, a lieutenant colonel during the American Revolutionary war, to Abel Garrington, the treasurer at Wilkes Barre. In the order, Butler is requesting that Garrington discount a current account for John Scott, due to county taxes he has paid previously.
